You will be a key engineer in a 6–10 person team building large-scale enterprise systems for Japanese clients. Responsibilities include designing new modules, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with Bridge SEs to dissect business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend modules on .NET 8 following Clean Architecture / DDD.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor 2–3 junior engineers on the team.
  • Participate in architectural design with the Solution Architect — taking responsibility for module-level technical decisions.
  • Collaborate with Bridge SEs and clients to clarify requirements, occasionally joining direct calls in English or Japanese.
  • Ensure code quality: unit tests ≥80% coverage, integration tests for critical flows.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production systems (1 week per 8 weeks).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications on .NET (preferably .NET 6/7/8).
  • Proficient in C#, EF Core, SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider — Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Deep understanding of Clean Architecture, DDD, CQRS — able to explain trade-offs clearly.
  • Good reading & writing skills in English (specs, technical docs, PR comments).
  • Clear communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • JLPT N3 or higher.
  • Experience building event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).
  • Open-source contributions (.NET community, NuGet packages).
  • Performance tuning experience at >1M requests/day scale.

Benefits

  • Salary 40–70 million VND/month depending on experience + quarterly project bonuses.
  • Premium Bao Viet healthcare insurance for self and one family member.
  • MacBook Pro M4 + 4K monitor, 5 million VND/year budget for personal hardware.
  • 15 million VND/year learning budget (books, online courses, certifications).
  • Onsite opportunities in Japan for 2–4 weeks/year on major projects.
  • Hybrid work: 3 days in office (District 3, HCMC) + 2 days remote.
