You will oversee 1–2 parallel enterprise projects, each with 6–15 engineers over 6–18 months duration. Primary clients are Japanese enterprises — requiring deep alignment with their cultural expectations.
Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, timeline, budget, and risk mitigation.
- Act as the single point of contact for clients — reporting progress, negotiating change requests.
- Coordinate with Solution Architects and Bridge SEs to ensure clear team context.
- Coach team members and evaluate engineer performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years in software project management, at least 2 years with Japanese or global enterprise clients.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
- Fluent English (communication, report writing, client presentations).
- Proficient in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) with knowledge of when to apply waterfall methodology.
Nice to Have
- JLPT N3 or higher.
- Strong technical background (former developer or tester).
